SNOWED IN
It has been four days,
FOUR DAYS
Since I left my house.
Four days
spent shivering.
Under
blankets.
In front of
fires.
Drinking
hot chocolate.
Four days
of reading books.
Watching
movies.
Playing
board games.
Baking too. many. treats.
There has
been exercise,
Treadmill,
Yoga,
But mostly
shoveling,
Shoveling,
Shoveling.
Four days.
Two bonus
days off from school.
SNOW DAYS.
Children
celebrating all over town.
Teachers
rejoicing.
We are
warm,
Relatively.
We are
safe,
Yet stir
crazy.
I am
grateful.
And excited
for the warm-up.
